AKUFO'S REMIX - HE IS THE MOST INCOMPETENT, CLUELESS PRESIDENT ON THE AFRICA CONTINENT
As we gather a new spirit of responsibility, patriotism, spirit of service to our dear nation and sacrifice, let us resolve not to care only about our individual survival, partisan inclinations and selfish tendencies but pitch in and work hard and look after one another and protect our democratic boundaries by being truthful to ourselves and the establishment. What Akufo- Addo's one year and the associated failures and problems has taught us is that we cannot continue grovelling and pretending while people suffer unduly. The President gave Ghanaians hint of his dishonesty and incompetence during his inauguration. It is immoral to plagiarise other people's work , but even worse pretending as if it was his own work. His administration was built on lies (Plagiarism). The good news is that some of our prominent citizens who fell for his [Akufo-Addo] lies have began shifting from their earlier position. Mr Emile Short who defended the Special Prosecutor has moved from his earlier position describing the idea as "misdirection of resources". Dr Addo Kufour cautioned Akufo-Addo to thread carefully with the introduction of the free SHS programme, Dr Tufour a leading member of the Npp openly condemned the horrible situation in our secondary schools as a result of the hasty implementation of the free SHS, Lawyer Ace Ankomah on Joy FM Newsfile, vehemently condemned how corruption issues are being handled by the Akufo-Addo administration, Mr Kofi Bentil of IMANI Ghana on his Facebook wall condemned corruption in the current administration. Apart from these individuals, the World Bank, Barclays (South Africa) and other respected institutions have all rated Ghana low in terms of doing business here and have attributed it to massive bribery and corruption in the administration. Instead of concentrating on the mandate given him by Ghanaians and his promises, he has adopted that old primitive trick of intimidating his political opponents and critics with political prosecution. He has started prosecuting those opposing his administration.
The irony is that when miscreants and ghosts write petition to the President against perceived opponents of the President, he and his politicised state security agencies will act immediately, but when known Ghanaians including members of President Akufo-Addo's government raise allegation of corruption against his appointees and his close allies. The lion in him comes out when corruption allegations are made against his political opponents and acts like a pet dog when they are against his appointees. How can we achieve national cohesion and greatness with such a partial leadership.
While Ghanaians are still asking questions as to what has happened to BOST issue, the $2.25 billion bond issued by his cousin (finance minister), his wife and business associates, the real facts discovered by the CID who investigated the corruption allegation levelled against the two deputy chiefs of staff, the fee ranging between $20,000 and $30,000 at the flagstaff house by his nephew, inflating of cost projects, the famous $15 million digital addressing system etc etc, the allegations like others is being treated as family affairs.
Up till today, we are yet to be told the owners of the unlicensed oil companies that lifted the contaminated oil from BOST. We've not been told what government has done about the huge money lost to the state as result of that fishy deal. Government has not come out to deny or corroborate what Kennedy Agyepong said about why and how the BOST boss was appointed to that sensitive position. Despite the presence of CCTV cameras, hundreds of containers escaped customs checks at our ports and our bauxites are being shipped daily to unknown destinations.
The President, his party's leaders and fanatics around him have a strong aversion to constructive criticisms, after it had gleefully rained insults on former President Mahama and his appointees but would now not want to condone criticisms. People who criticise the President are either made to kneel before Npp officials and beg for forgiveness, or made to write a whole book to explain why they criticized their "messiah". His vigilante groups will not spare his critics and have reintroduced snatching of ballot boxes into our body politic. All these and others not mentioned portray him as a tyrant, incompetent and clueless.
His fanatics and nephews are shamelessly raining praises on him to the annoyance of the millions who just celebrated the most "terrible" Christmas ever. But must we blame them? One of them has been offered a juicy contract to review all government contracts and collecting fees ranging between $20,000 and $30,000 before he allows visitors access to the President, some have started buying Mansions in the capital city and UK, some have taken over the oil industry and recently brought down some Russian business magnates and others are getting their daily bread from these nation wreckers. The President who promised will make the cedi equivalent to the dollar, has made life uncomfortable for local businessmen and Ghanaians. The cedi is still languishing in jail and as a result of this, cost of almost every commodity in the market has skyrocketed. Contractors are wailing, workers are not being paid promptly, funds to state institutions are not being disbursed promptly etc. This is the economy fanatics of the President describe as sound.
