WE DESERVE BETTER THAN THIS SELF SERVING CONCOCTED NONSENSE

In the matter of the sale of our president the lies from officialdom have not only become too many but legendary and certainly will become the credo of the Akufo-Addo’s led government. The latest statement from the Flagstaff House has not only sucked the already hounded confidence and trust left in us as a people about the presidency but a vindication of an article i wrote sometime ago, though, to the uncontrollable anger of my friends in the NPP in which i stated that, the NPP government and lies are like conjoined twins and that lies are so deeply imbedded in their minds and way of life such that going against it is almost like a mechanic trying to separate conjoined twins in the middle of a busy road.

I can’t fathom how the facts in the matter can escape the narrative of corruption and outright thievery.

When the story broke for the first time, the NPP response was that it was not true and that nothing like that had happened. When it became apparent that we were not just talking about an imaginary he-goat, we were in fact hold the testicles firmly in our hands, they quickly in their usual grubbiest and amateurish attempt with the section of the rented press tried to find solace behind another fat lie that making such dubious demands was a normal practice at the Ministry of Trade and Industries(MoTI).Let me state without any equivocation that, it is not only an absolute lie but also a slap on the faces of the Ghanaian people.

Sometimes i wonder whether the the government and their incompetent communicators listen to themselves, if they do, they would have realised that they(the NPP government) had indicated that organising such awards for expatriates businesses was a novelty in Ghana. So how can extortions in same be a normal practice at MoTI?. Again, why will MoTI and the presidency both desperately insulating themselves from a practice that is considered normal?.

Barely a week after the story broke, the Ministry of Trade issued  an official statement in which the Minister palpably states that, he knew nothing about those dubious charges and that it was negotiated between the event organiser and the Flagstaff House. This position was reiterated several times by the Deputy Minister for Trade Hon Karlos Ahinkra yet the presidency still want to feign innocence on the matter as though Ghanaians are bunch of idiots. Mr President, we are not.

It is important to state that any event that is being organised by any ministry or agency in which the president is in attendance, the programme lineup, participants and most importantly the sitting arrangement would have been vetted and approved by the presidency days before the event. In fact, the sitting arrangement is most often exclusively handled by the State Protocol and the National Security.

The sitting arrangement is so detailed that who sits on the left, right or at the back of the president are predetermined by the state protocol and the National Security. As a matter of fact, after the place is set for the programme, usually, a day before the programme, the entire place will be cordoned and protected by state security until the event is over the next day. In the eyes of all these facts the presidency still want to feign innocence?. If it is true that the president did not know who was going to sit with him on his table then i sadly say that “Our King is indeed naked”

Isn’t it strange that the president goes for a programme and being asked to sit at a place with people he does not know, has never seen, never met and yet engaged in conversations with them without a worry. Wouldn’t that amount a step on the road to the destruction of the sanctity of the highest office of the president?. Yet same government is desperately putting up a convincing charade to keep the Ghanaian people from the truth?.

Where are the CDDs, the IEAs, the IMANIs, the pretentious Moral Society. Where are they.Where are the Occupiers of the Flagstaff House hu.Perhaps they were ranting because of the payments of Legal Fees and since that is gotten the ranting is over whiles they wait for the next dubious legal fees. Indeed, their closeness to power has trapped them into silence.

Mr president, the eyes of the world are upon you, waiting to see how far you and you corrupt government will conduct your self in this episode of yet another thievery perpetrated under your very watch, this time round on innocent foreign business men and women . How far your conduct will be marked by your obedience to your conscience and observance of rule of law and not your greed. As you discharge that responsibility, the good people of Ghana including the over 53% you deceived into given you the mandate in 2016 will surely pass their verdict In Shah ALL in 2020.
