GHANA: TRUMP MAY BE POLITICALLY INCORRECT BUT HE ONLY PUT WORDS TO OUR ACTIONS -By Dela Goldheart

Trump said we are from "shithole" countries. I see the AU giving statements. I see the anger on social media. But... Do you blame him? You are given the opportunity to visit or study in country B and you refuse to go back home. When you are asked why? You give a thousand reasons that say B is better than A. Now you want to blame Trump for putting words to what you have always demonstrated?

You stay in someone's land until your strength is worn out. You give it all your brain power and physical strength. You refuse to  see that your country needs more help than the developed country you refuse to leave. Now you are screaming Trump is a racist? Do you even see that what you are doing to your country is worse than racism? I think you should take a look at yourself first before you point fingers at Trump. Trump is not the problem; you are the problem. You scream that they took able bodied people from your continent thus crippled you. Today, they are literally doing everything to keep you in your land. But you have refused to stay home. Even though your land is always warm, your family is there, your food and language is there, and you don't have to work as much as you work in the US and still be treated like the worst human beings on earth, you have refused to stay home. Why? If it is not because you think your country is a shithole then why have you refused to go back home even when you are being pushed back?

Today, should they bring a ship to the coasts of West Africa, I know the number of people who will willingly board it to become slaves in America. We have been conditioned to think that anything from our side is not good enough. And this is the result. We have given a privileged loud mouth white supremacist man the audacity to say thrash about us.

We could travel to country B in a respectable way. But that can only happen if we build our land so well that they will  run to us instead of we running to them. Who doesn't  like a nice warm weather and hospitable people in the coasts and "jungles" of Africa?

PS: I am not saying Trump has any right to call us names. What I am saying is that we are a big part of the problem. If we want people to respect us, we must be willing to earn that respect. It is totally impossible to treat yourself like a shithole and expect to be treated by others like a queen. No. So wake up
