TALKING WITH CHILDREN ABOUT SEX WITH REFERENCE TO- Ejisuman Senior High

Image
Am amazed at the level of hypocrisy we  show mo st time s when i s sue s curb up in our  society , if we can remember not quite long  set of young naive  student were  seen on video talking about  sex and the n ext thing that they have been  sent out the boarding house for talking about  sex, what i s wrong when people talk about  sex? Sex education for a  secondary  school child mostly occurs in the way we talk about body parts and body functions, how we teach children to care for, respect and protect their bodies, and when we prepare our children for puberty. Choosing the right age to answer questions such as ‘Where do I come from?’ and ‘What is sex?’ is more about how comfortable your family feels talking about such topics, rather than there being a perfect time. Many children will have asked the question by the time they reach school. By  senior high   , they will have a keen interest and will have formulated some kind of theory. Many children will also have made the link b

Some members of the Ghana Pentecostal and Charismatic Council The Ghana Pentecostal and Charismatic Council (GPCC) has called on the security agencies to investigate and bring to justice the culprits involved in the disappearance of some excavators seized from illegal miners (galamseyers) as well as some 400 rickshaws (aboboyas). In a communiqué issued by the GPCC after deliberations at the 2020 Conference of Heads of Churches and Organisations held at the Pentecost Convention Centre, Gomoa Fetteh from 4 to 7 February 2020, the Council noted “with concern, the unearthing of certain corruption-related cases recently”. “We take particular note of the missing 500 excavators [and] the missing 400 tricycles”. “We call on the security agencies to conduct serious investigations into these scandals and to bring to justice anybody found culpable”, the Council said.   Missing excavators  Just recently, the Minister of Environment, Science, Technology and Innovations (MESTI), P

Brexit and the Unanswered Biafra Question It is no more news that the United Kingdom, has finally exited the European Union after all....

It is no more news that the United Kingdom, has finally exited the European Union after all. This took place on Friday 31st January 2020 through the instrumentality of BREXIT Document with the British Prime Minister, Mr. Boris Johnson, promising fellow citizens of a new dawn from the shackles of over forty years of political bondage with the European Union bloc. It is therefore important to clearly bring to the notice of the international community at this point, that the British government has totally lost the argument via this singular development, on the much mouthed argument on the indivisibility of Nigeria. If the citizens of the United Kingdom have overwhelmingly registered their need of getting out from a presumably peaceful political entity like the European Union, it then becomes just an issue of simple moral justice/fairness that the global community expects the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), to place a demand for their exit from the relentless blood sucking, forced

The petition to the presidency would mean that the current and former presidents of the country have been informed of their reasons to protest the decision by the EC to compile a new register. Today’s demonstration comes in the wake of announcement by the commission that the new registration exercise will begin April 18. A meeting between the parties and the eminent advisory committee ended inconclusively. The EC however in a statement said the majority of stakeholders who attended the meeting agreed to a new register. But in a reaction, the parties said: “The Resistance finds it curious that, less than 12 hours after the meeting, the agreed commu

A-Plus warns Akufo Addo

Great move. I'm very happy how swiftly government has released a statement that the special prosecutor is going to "promptly" investigate the Airbus corruption scandal. Many criminals in the previous government are walking free and making noise in this country. They must be brought to justice. However, I will also like to remind the government that, this airbus issue is not an opportunity to cover up all the scandals happening currently. 600.000 liters of fuel evaporated in t his country, no one released a statement to that effect. Four hundred aboboyaa (tricycles) went through the full process of evolution, developed wings and flew to the land of the unknown. Five hundred excavators have vamoosed into thin air without anybody noticing. To steal an excavator you need an articulator truck and men directing the driver; masa bra bra bra yet no one in any assembly where the excavators were supposed to be kept knows how they vanished. According to H

PRESIDENT AKUFO-ADDO FURTHER ENTRENCHES NEPOTISM AND CORRUPTION - DOLES OUT US$24 MILLION IN TAX WAIVERS TO HIS BROTHER IN-LAW FOR HOTEL PROJECT-SAMMY GYAMFI

The National Democratic Congress (NDC), has observed with dismay, the granting of tax waivers close to the tune of $24 million (equivalent to over GHS130 billion old Cedis), for the construction of a hotel project of a brother in-law of President Akufo-Addo. In a letter from the Office of the President dated 13th November, 2019, the Finance Minister was instructed to obtain the approval of Parliament to grant Platinum Properties Limited, a Strategic Investor status in order to give effect to President Akufo-Addo’s grant of several tax exemptions to the company for the development of the Pullman Accra Airport City Hotel and Serviced Apartments project in Airport City, Accra. Pursuant to this letter which was signed by Cousin and Executive Secretary to the President, Nana Asante Bediatuo, the Finance Minister, Ken Ofori-Atta who is also a cousin to the President, submitted to Parliament, a request for waiver of several taxes amounting to the tune of the Ghana Cedi equivalent of Tw
